Arsenal have entered the final month of the summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta looks to rebuild his team. The Premier League champions have made three new signings but will want to bring in more recruits before the season starts.

Piero Hincapie has made his move from Bayer Leverkusen permanent after featuring in 39 games last term, while former Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has arrived as a free agent. In attack, winger Christos Tzolis completed a £34million move from Club Brugge as Arteta looks to revamp his wide options.

However, Arsenal have continued to be linked with high-profile moves for top targets ahead of the September 1 deadline. The Gunners will also want to move on fringe players to boost their transfer funds. Football.london looks at six deals the club could complete this week.

Bruno Guimaraes

Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes is reportedly set to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Arsenal. The Brazil international has starred in the Premier League since leaving Lyon in January 2022 and would add proven quality in central midfield.

The Times reports that Arsenal have agreed a deal worth a total of £80m for the 28-year-old, comprised of an initial £70m and a further £10m in possible add-ons. It would be another blow for Newcastle, who sold key players Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali earlier this summer before manager Eddie Howe left the club last week.

Christian Norgaard

There will be a spot available in the Arsenal squad for Guimaraes as Christian Norgaard closes in on a move to Everton. The 32-year-old signed from Brentford last summer but made only 11 starts in 20 appearances.

The Liverpool ECHO reports that Everton are set to sign the experienced midfielder for £7m. Manager David Moyes is said to be keen to add the Dane to his side, with the move also allowing Arsenal to add Guimaraes in midfield.

Vinicius Junior

Arsenal are targeting a move for Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior as the Gunners look to build on last season’s title-winning success. The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his deal, sparking speculation about his future.

While Real Madrid have been in talks with the winger over a new contract, ESPN Brasil reports that Los Blancos are unwilling to increase their offer and are open to selling Vinicius if no agreement can be reached. Real Madrid’s reported stance could benefit Arsenal’s pursuit of the forward, who scored 22 goals in 53 games last season.

Ferran Torres

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Barcelona’s Ferran Torres as the Gunners look to add more firepower. Spain international Torres has already had an unforgettable summer, scoring the only goal in the World Cup final to clinch the iconic trophy.

Spanish outlet Sport claims that Arsenal among the English clubs to have enquired about the 26-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid. Similar to Vinicius, Torres is in the final year of his contract, though Barcelona wish to agree a new deal.

Fabio Vieria

Fabio Vieira is one of several fringe players who could help boost Arsenal’s transfer budget towards the end of the window. The 26-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2022 but has spent the last two seasons out on loan.

Sky Sports Germany has previously reported that Hamburg and Arsenal are in contact over a permanent move. It has been claimed that Vieira is hopeful a deal can be agreed between the two clubs, having made 31 appearances for the club during his recent loan spell.

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus is another Arsenal star who could leave the club this summer. The former Manchester City star has less than 12 months remaining on his contract and is competing with Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz for a starting spot in Arteta’s side.

The Athletic has reported that the Gunners value Jesus at between £18m and £20m, with the striker linked to AC Milan. The 29-year-old made nine starts in 27 appearances for Arsenal last season, scoring six goals.
