Arsenal could have an opportunity to generate plenty of funds through a potential sale, thanks to Myles Lewis-Skelly and Manchester United. The Gunners look set to have a busy summer transfer window, but much of the attention has been on incoming transfers rather than outgoing ones.
When it comes to departures, Arsenal have already sold Leandro Trossard to Besiktas in a move believed to be worth around £17million.
It remains to be seen if any more players leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, with Lewis-Skelly’s future continuing to be the subject of speculation.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the England international in the past, and it seems that the interest from the Red Devils could re-emerge before the transfer window closes.
According to The i Paper, United could pursue a deal for Lewis-Skelly before the summer transfer window ends, thanks to Newcastle’s latest transfer stance.
The report claims that United have identified Newcastle defender Lewis Hall as their priority target to strengthen the left-back position, but the Magpies are thought to be determined to keep the defender at St James’ Park.
Hall is reported to be valued at more than £50million, and with Newcastle determined to keep the defender at the club, United are being forced to assess other targets.
One such target is Lewis-Skelly, who the report goes on to claim is an option being considered by United as they try to sign a new left-back.
The report goes on to claim that Arsenal could be open to the idea of selling Lewis-Skelly this summer, although there is no mention of a potential asking price.

This could give Arsenal the opportunity to demand a sizable fee for Lewis-Skelly’s signature, given United’s need to sign a new left-back.
United have seen the departure of Tyrell Malacia earlier in the summer, leaving Luke Shaw as their only recognised senior left-back in the squad.
Arsenal often used Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie at left-back last season on their way to winning the Premier League title, while Lewis-Skelly was often selected in midfield by Mikel Arteta but was still used on the left side of the defence.
