The 2026 summer transfer window is beginning to seriously heat up ahead of the new campaign and a host of deals are expected to be formally announced shortly.
Three players have already switched clubs for over €100 million so far this summer - Morgan Rogers, Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali - and several other high-profile stars could soon be on the move.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through five transfers that are set to be completed before the end of this week.
Bruno Guimaraes to Arsenal
Arsenal’s first official bid for Bruno Guimaraes has been turned down by Newcastle United, but they are expected to return to the table with a fresh offer shortly and this is a deal that could accelerate quickly.
The Brazil midfielder won’t go on strike to force through a move, however he wants to join Arsenal and it’s understood that personal terms have already been finalised as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his midfield roster ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Newcastle are reluctant to lose Guimaraes after selling Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon, but they may be forced to accept a deal, especially if Arsenal match their €93m (£80m) asking price.
Trevoh Chalobah to Como
Como have reached a full agreement to signChelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and the transfer is expected to be officially announced this week.
The 27-year-old has been in talks to join the Serie A side for several weeks and a deal worth an initial €30m has now been struck with Chelsea.
Chalobah will immediately become a pivotal player for Como upon his arrival, and he will play a key role in their first ever Champions League campaign next term.

Savinho to Tottenham
Savinho has reportedly informed Manchester City that he wants to leave the club this summer in search of more regular gametime, and Tottenham are once again leading the race to sign him.
Spurs were eager to sign the Brazilian last summer and despite missing out on his signature, they remain huge admirers and they are now pushing to bring him to north London ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Tottenham have already strengthened Roberto De Zerbi's options in defence and midfield, and they are now focused on bolstering their attack, with Savinho regarded as a top target.
Maghnes Akliouche to PSG
Paris Saint-Germain’s summer business is set to explode shortly, with the Champions League winners on the verge of four huge deals.
Maghnes Akliouche is expected to become their first big-name signing of the summer, with a deal in place to sign the AS Monaco attacker for €50m following an impressive 2025-26 campaign, in which he registered 18 goal contributions in 43 games.
In addition to the Frenchman, PSG are also in advanced talks to sign Ferran Torres (Barcelona), Zion Suzuki (Parma) and Mika Godts (Ajax).

Ayyoub Bouaddi to Man City
Ayyoub Bouaddi is one of the most sought-after players in world football and Manchester City are currently the frontrunners to win the race for the Lille starlet.
Enzo Maresca’s side have reached a full verbal agreement on personal terms with the 18-year-old and they are now locked in transfer fee talks with Lille as they look to land the 2026 World Cup breakout star.
It has previously been reported that a fee of €100m may be required to sign the Morocco midfielder, but Man City are pushing to secure his signature amid the uncertain long-term future of Rodri.
