Liverpool transfer blow as €50m bid made for Brazilian attacker

Liverpool’s ongoing search for an attacker or two has thrown up some interesting names in recent weeks.

We’re tired of speaking about Bradley Barcola and will refrain from doing so for the time being.

Otherwise, Matias Fernandez-Pardo has been linked with a move to Liverpool, while Yankuba Minteh and Said El Mala also have keen admirers at Anfield.

At the start of June, we relayed claims on Read Liverpool that the Reds are keeping an eye on Fulham’s Kevin as one for the future.

And now, if reports from Brazil are to be believed, Roma have made a €50m bid to sign the Brazilian immediately.

Liverpool target Kevin wanted by Roma

Kevin signed for Fulham for a fee of around €45m and is still getting to grips with Premier League football.

According to Globo Esporte, Roma’s sizable bid has been turned down by the Cottagers as they believe he will go up a gear or two in the coming years.

Liverpool’s interest is real, but Kevin was never an active target for the ongoing summer transfer window.

Over the years, the Reds have monitored players for years before eventually making a move, which could well be the case with the Brazilian if he satisfies his potential.

Roma’s bid has been rejected and Fulham’s transfer stance is clear: they will not sell Kevin this summer.
