It does feel increasingly Jones will join Inter before the summer transfer window slams shut, with his body language in the 4-2 defeat to Leeds United not exactly positive.
To see him leave Liverpool would be a shame, given his attributes – [Arne Slot](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c2e7nml129wo) called him a “complete” midfielder when he was in charge – but he doesn’t seem overly happy, which will surely only end one way.
If Andoni Iraola can’t guarantee him a regular starting berth, Jones may feel that Inter are better for his development, but they must surely have to bid more than the rumoured potential offer of around £34.2m.
Jones leaving Liverpool at 25 is far from ideal, but ultimately, things don’t appear to be working out in the manner that he would have hoped a few years ago.
