Arsenal have received encouragement to sign Vinícius Júnior as Real Madrid are open to selling him on condition this summer.

On Monday, Sport Witness covered claims from Spain that Arsenal are going all out to sign the Real Madrid star.
Later that day, the Brazil international trained under José Mourinho for the first time, after returning from the summer break. This has also allowed the La Liga side to hold talks with him over his future.
Key points for Real Madrid renewal
Vinícius Júnior’s contract expires in 2027 and Tuesday’s edition of Sport claims Los Blancos president Florentino Pérez has ‘given explicit orders’ to sell him this summer if there’s no renewal.
Sport states: ‘The first point of contention is the loyalty bonus he was due to receive upon the contract’s expiration in 2027. Real Madrid disagree and want to negotiate the amount as a renewal bonus.’
The Brazil international is also comparing himself to Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé and believes he should have the same status in the team.
Real Madrid’s four-year proposal doesn’t meet his expectations. This includes a salary that’s €10m less than the Frenchman’s current wages.
José Mourinho’s side have informed him their offer is final, but there’s room for further negotiations.
Arsenal very serious
If there’s no renewal, the 26-year-old has to leave and ‘all eyes are on Arsenal’. They are very serious about signing him and have already contacted his agent.
The Gunners are ‘prepared to take a gamble’ by offering him the highest ever salary in the Premier League, without mentioning a figure.
This would only be possible if Real Madrid, in case of a sale, lower their price from €170m to €150m. Even in this case, there’s room for negotiations.
José Mourinho wants him in his squad next season.
Real Madrid and Vinícius Júnior are also in favour of his stay, as long as there’s a renewal agreement. If one of the two doesn’t soften their stance, it could lead to a summer transfer.
Sport claim Vinícius Júnior’s future could be decided this week, meaning the next few days are crucial for Mikel Arteta’s side.
