Alisson will begin pre-season work at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday, having been granted a four-week break following Brazil’s exit from the World Cup.
Brazil lost their last-16 clash with Norway on July 5, with players obliged to at least three weeks off post-tournament per FIFA rules.
But while Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch joined Andoni Iraola‘s squad in the United States and Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo reported to the AXA last week, Alisson‘s first day back is on Tuesday.
The No. 1 goalkeeper was pictured arriving at the facility in Kirkby in the morning, ahead of fitness tests and sessions later in the week.
Why Alisson’s longer break made sense for Liverpool
Alisson had enjoyed an extended break with his family in Brazil with it deemed sensible that he take more time off ahead of his ninth campaign at Liverpool.
While his absence led to questions from fans, in reality there will have been little for Alisson to do at the AXA until Iraola, his staff and the rest of the squad returned.
Goalkeeping coaches Alejandro Rosalen and Colin Stewart were both part on the first-team staff in America to work with Giorgi Mamardashvili, Freddie Woodman, Harvey Davies and Bailey Hall.
Armin Pecsi has already joined TSV Hartberg on loan and Vitezslav Jaros travelled to the USA but is still receiving treatment for a long-term knee injury.

Any sessions with the U21s will have been impacted by their own pre-season tour of Slovenia, which saw goalkeeping coach Mark Morris work with Kornel Misciur and Matty Wright.
Maintaining his fitness in Brazil, Alisson can now look to hit the ground running ahead of a likely start in the Anfield friendly against AS Monaco on Sunday.
Liverpool received contact from Juventus over a possible deal for the 33-year-old earlier in the summer but a move away was swiftly rebuffed.
Furthermore, claims of interest from Saudi Arabia were denied, with Alisson happy on Merseyside and prepared to play into the final year of his contract.

The club triggered a clause to avoid his deal expiring on July 1 and it will instead run to 2027, and there is still a possibility that Liverpool offer new, lengthier terms.
Alisson, Van Dijk and Gakpo will be joined by the USA tour squad at the AXA this week, with the group also welcoming new signing Victor Munoz.
Alexis Mac Allister will be the last player to report back following his heavy involvement with Argentina at the World Cup, including 120 minutes in their defeat to Spain in the final.
