Christian Norgaard is undergoing a medical at Everton today ahead of sealing a permanent transfer away from Arsenal.
The Dane, who arrived from Brentford last summer in a shock deal worth an initial £10million plus £2m in bonuses, departs a Premier League champion.
Norgaard had been in Girona with the Arsenal squad last weekend for the 4-1 victory over the Spanish side but did not participate in the match as negotiations with Everton advanced.
Now the Gunners have given their approval for the experienced Denmark international to complete all formalities ahead of signing a multi-year contract with the Toffees.

Norgaard was highly respected around the club for his leadership and role within the dressing room, even though he was not a mainstay in Mikel Arteta's starting XI.
He was actually left out of the squad of multiple occasions due to the sheer numbers Arsenal had at their disposal.
However, his signing was still viewed favourably because of his impact, not least his ability to set the standards on the training field.
Speaking in February, Leandro Trossard, who has since departed for Besiktas, paid tribute to Norgaard and labelled him the club's best trainer, stating: “I would say Christian Norgaard is a good example of that.
“Because he always wants to set a higher standard for himself on and off the pitch, and I think he’s a very good pro.”
Norgaard is understood to have arrived on Merseyside on Tuesday morning ahead of his medical examinations with Everton.

He will replace the recently departed Idrissa Gana Gueye, who has a number of offers from the Middle East.
The 32-year-old ex-Brentford skipper can play as both a defensive midfielder or central defender and his versatility is said to appeal to David Moyes.
Norgaard only played 101 minutes for Arsenal in the Premier League last season, playing just seven top-flight matches.
He did feature regularly in both cup competitions and also made six appearances in the Champions League.
His last outing in red and white came on the final day of the season when he started against Crystal Palace before going off at half-time with an injury.
