Young Blues prospect joins...

Scott Easterlow has utilised his local contacts and friendships from his time at neighbours Racing Club Warwick with the signing of Louie Rea from Championship club Birmingham City on a Youth Loan for an initial period of one month.

Living just five minutes from OurCoop Community Stadium, Louie is no stranger to the club, and his father Simon, was assistant to Scott at Racing Club; having also played briefly for Brakes under Jason Cadden.

Having recently signed his first professional contract with Championship Blues, Louie has broken into their Under 21’s side during 2026, and is described on their website as ‘A versatile midfielder with a physical presence and plenty of running, who loves to arrive late in goalscoring positions. Was part of the Under-18s leadership group and scored a terrific free-kick against Coventry City in last season’s FA Youth Cup which was voted Goal of the Month. Rea has been with Blues since pre-Academy and registered six goal involvements in 11 games across 2025-26.’

'Louie is a lad who I have known since he was a young boy, and with that I have always followed his path at Birmingham City closely,' said Easterlow. 'Louie is a local lad, but make no mistake he’s here on ability. He’s a big strong lad which will only help him at this level. I know he’s pleased to be representing his home town club, and we are equally as pleased to have him here.'

We are delighted to welcome Louie for his first loan spell as a professional, and hope that he enjoys his time at the club.
