Liverpool identify alternative if £145m Bradley Barcola move fails
Liverpool remain locked in talks to sign Bradley Barcola from PSG.
To be quite honest, there isn’t too much to report on that front today as we’re still waiting for the next big update in the saga.
However, Barcola’s move to Anfield isn’t a foregone conclusion, although there is a willingness among all parties to get the deal done.
If his £145m price tag proves to be prohibitive, the Reds could turn to alternatives.
And Caught Offside report that Bournemouth’s Rayan would be at the top of their list, along with two other players.
Liverpool identify Rayan as Barcola alternative
Andoni Iraola knows Rayan quite well as the Brazilian took to the Premier League like a duck to water under his leadership at Bournemouth,
The pair worked together for around six months and the Cherries were unbeaten in the Premier League during that period, which is some achievement for a club of their stature.
According to the aforementioned report, Rayan would become Liverpool’s priority if the Barcola deal breaks down.
The likes of Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Yankuba Minteh have also been mentioned as targets, with Iraola keen to have wingers who can play on both flanks.
That said, Liverpool’s priority is well and truly Barcola at the moment as they hope to get the deal over the line before the start of the season.
