Liverpool have enjoyed a surprisingly quiet summer transfer window, moving cautiously compared to their Premier League rivals.
While the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have spent more than £800million combined on new arrivals, the Reds have taken a more measured approach.

So far, only two major signings have been completed. Forward Victor Munoz joined from Osasuna in a £34.5million deal, while Jeremy Jacquet arrived from Rennes for £55million after the transfer was agreed in February.
The lack of activity is unexpected following the appointment of new head coach Andoni Iraola, who will want to shape the squad to fit his style of play.
Liverpool also face the major challenge of replacing Mohamed Salah, whose departure has left a significant gap in attack.
Their cautious approach contrasts sharply with last summer, when the club spent £446million and broke the British transfer record twice. However, with the new season approaching, Liverpool are expected to accelerate their recruitment plans.
The recent pre-season tour of the United States also gave several academy players the chance to impress, with many senior forwards unavailable due to injuries or their involvement in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Kieran Morrison was one of the standout performers, scoring the first goal of the Iraola era in the win over Sunderland.
The 19-year-old Northern Ireland international also started against Leeds United and, according to the Liverpool Echo, could receive more opportunities in upcoming friendlies against Monaco and Como before a decision is made over a possible loan move.
Lewis Koumas also impressed during Liverpool’s pre-season tour, scoring in the victory over Sunderland. The 20-year-old forward also enjoyed a successful loan spell at Hull City last season, helping them secure promotion.
Koumas is attracting significant interest ahead of the transfer deadline, with Liverpool anticipating both loan and permanent offers.
Koumas was also close to joining Burnley and linking up with Wales manager Craig Bellamy, a former Liverpool striker, but the proposed move to Turf Moor ultimately fell through.
