Pedro Neto has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer, but the 26-year-old is prepared to wait and see how the situation develops towards the end of the transfer window.
The Portugal international made 30 starts for the Blues last season. He joined Xabi Alonso’s side from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a £54million deal in August 2024.

Since moving to Stamford Bridge, Neto has made 103 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 19 goals. Having invested heavily in the winger on a long-term contract, Chelsea remain in a strong negotiating position.
Neto’s direct running, explosive pace and Premier League experience have made him an attractive target for several clubs.
Liverpool are reportedly interested in the forward as they continue their search for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, while AC Milan have also identified him as a potential target.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have made direct contact with Neto’s representatives over a possible move. Enzo Maresca’s side have placed the Portuguese on their shortlist as part of contingency planning for Savinho.
Romano posted on X: “Manchester City make direct contact with Pedro Neto’s camp as talks start over possible move.
“Neto among #MCFC target if Savinho goes to Spurs while he’s also understood to be on Tottenham list as backup option. Deal also depends on Chelsea valuation.”
Pedro Neto recorded 10 goals and 10 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions last season. Talks between Man City and Neto’s representatives remain at an exploratory stage, with all parties waiting for the outcome of the Savinho situation. If Tottenham complete a deal for the Brazilian winger, City are expected to accelerate their pursuit of Neto.
Manchester City have already strengthened their squad this summer with the record-breaking arrival of Elliot Anderson and the signing of highly-rated teenager Jeremy Monga.
However, Enzo Maresca remains keen to add proven Premier League quality in wide areas. Chelsea have reportedly set a £70 million asking price, meaning only a significant offer would convince them to consider negotiations.
