Highlights so far have included Tottenham’s £100m raid for Sandro Tonali, and even more expensive signings from Man City and Chelsea, who landed Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers respectively.

Amid the transfer window chaos, clubs are also focusing on the upcoming 2026/27 Premier League season, with pre-season friendlies and tours offering managers a chance to get their players up to speed before the big kick-off later this month. On top of that, Fantasy Premier League players are busy too, refining their squads for another highly competitive season.
Today’s rumours round-up gets going at Old Trafford, where Man United might be in a spot of bother. According to Team Talk, they may be unable to sign top left-back target Lewis Hall this summer, with Newcastle United believed to have reiterated their stance that the ex-Chelsea star is not for sale any circumstances, amid a mass exodus at St. James’ Park.
The report claims that previous reports of the Magpies being willing to sell for £60m are wide of the mark, with Hall seen as a “cornerstone” of the side for incoming new manager Matthias Jaissle, who is expected to be Eddie Howe’s successor following his shock exit earlier this week. Hall is said to be “open” to a move to Old Trafford, but for now the door looks to be firmly bolted shut.

Second up, it’s over to north London, where the mega Tottenham rebuild is continuing after they got the bulk of their business done before and during the World Cup. According to the Daily Mail, attacking options are now Spurs’ priority, and they could be set to launch a bold move for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, who the Blues are said to value at £65m.
The story says that Spurs have the Senegal international “under consideration”, amid rival interest from Aston Villa. It’s noted that the clubs are yet to communicate regarding a potential deal, but it’s widely known that the Blues are willing to let Jackson leave this summer. Joao Pedro and new signing Danny Welbeck, alongside a more youthful option, are expected to be the club’s three chosen striker options for the upcoming season.
The 3AM Verdict: Jackson has had his good moments at Chelsea, but his tendency to spurn countless chances and history of continually picking up needless bookings should be a red flag for any prospective buyers. Tottenham have alsobeen linked with Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen, but the chances of them being able to afford his wages seem unlikely.

They look to have missed out on number one target Yan Diomande, who is edging closer to joining Real Madrid. Now, Caught Offside claim they could also be priced out of a move for backup target Bradley Barcola, with PSG believed to be demanding as much as £145m for the French gem.
