Liverpool are being tipped to complete another attacking signing in addition to Bradley Barcola, but there is not a lot of time left in the window to complete all this transfer business.
Maghnes Akliouche has all but joined PSG, while they are also working hard to sign Mika Godts, with all the signings pointing towards a Barcola exit, while Liverpool also need to sign two new wingers.
Barcola is the essential signing, but for Liverpool to be secure in their squad depth, they need to add another.
Now, with a new claim emerging, it seems as though the Reds will not stop at Barcola, although they are leaving themselves with precious little time to get all their transfer business done this summer.
Liverpool will not stop at Bradley Barcola
Speaking to Anfield Index, journalist David Lynch was asked if Liverpool will sign another winger in addition to Bradley Barcola, notwithstanding what may happen if Cody Gakpo leaves the club to join Spurs.
Lynch responded: “I think so. And again, kind of further to conversations I’ve had today, I think that’s the mindset as well.
“There really is a feeling they need to add more in attack, and that’s not just kind of one in, one out with Barcola.
“I think there’s a feeling that they absolutely have to, you know, get Barcola over the line and then kind of see where they’re up to, but to add more because they feel like they’re a little bit short in that area.”
“The conditions are there” for Barcola to leave PSG this summer
Focusing on Liverpool’s interest in Barcola, Lynch added that it seems nailed on for the French forward to leave PSG this summer, with the Parisians working hard to sign extra forwards this summer for Luis Enrique.
“I still just think that the direction of travel here is clearly that Bara leaves, isn’t it?” Lynch said. “I mean, I think that’s been apparent, I think I’ve said it on this podcast weeks and weeks ago, is that I think the conditions are there to expect him to leave PSG.
“They are clearly signing several forwards to look to replace him and forwards that would play in his position. You know, he’s going to have he’s got two years left on his contract. They want to sell him at this point. And he wants to join Liverpool.”
