Mykhailo Mudryk is training with Chelsea again and could play for Xabi Alonso’s side this upcoming season.
Mudryk had a doping ban imposed on him, but that has now been lifted, meaning that the winger will be available for the 2026/27 campaign.
Coventry City are interested in signing Mudryk on loan, so the 25-year-old could leave Chelsea during this transfer window. The most important thing is that he gets to play.
Mykhailo Mudryk spent time signing autographs
Despite not playing a game of football since 2024, Mudryk is still clearly one of the most popular players in Chelsea’s squad.
In one Chelsea training session ahead of the Blues’ pre-season friendly against Juventus, Mudryk was the last man to leave the pitch.
According to BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Mudryk had plenty of autographs to sign, hence his late exit.

The Ukrainian was clearly missed by supporters, who are glad to see him back. His return also means Xabi Alonso could have another exciting left-wing option for the new season.
Alonso currently has Morgan Rogers and Jamie Gittens as his main two options for the left-wing position at Stamford Bridge.
Geovany Quenda can also play there, so Chelsea are certainly not light in that area of the pitch.
Could Mykhailo Mudryk play against Juventus?
Chelsea fans will be eager to see Mudryk make a return to the pitch, and they could get to see that in Wednesday’s match against Juventus.
In a hugely positive development for Mudryk, Alonso has confirmed that the Ukraine international could feature at Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong.
When asked whether Mudryk and new signing Danny Welbeck could play against Juventus in his pre-match press conference, Alonso told BBC Sport and other outlets: “Yes. Both of them.”
After Juventus, Chelsea then play AC Milan, so that could be another opportunity for Mudryk to get some much-needed game time. A day later, the Blues have another friendly versus Johor Darul Ta’zim.
