Salah had been on the lookout for a new side this summer after deciding to leave Liverpool at the end of last season.
He famously wore the No.11 with the Reds, with those digits becoming synonymous with his career in the Premier League.
As for the international stage, he donned the No.10 for Egypt.
But now, for Trabzonspor, Salah appears to have made a change...
Why is Salah wearing No.61 for Trabzonspor?
Salah has seemingly taken the No.61 shirt ahead of signing a two-year deal with the Turkish Super Lig side.
And, if it does turn out that he will be wearing the No.61, he'll have a number on his back that has a unique connection to the club.
Trabzonspor are renowned for making the 61st minute of matches special, creating an incredible atmosphere.
Their stadium is regularly filled with fireworks, confetti and chanting when the clock hits the 61st minute during a game.

61 is also the area code of their home city of Trabzon.
That tradition could have inspired Salah to take that as his number, connecting him to the joyous moment - or he may just have worn the ceremonial digits to celebrate his new transfer.
61 has been handed out as a number to members of the squad over the years though, so it may be permanent for Salah.
Cihan Canak has worn it for the last two seasons, with Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Parmak the previous two to do so.
Eight players in total have donned the No.61 since 2000.
Salah will imminently sign his two-year deal with Trabzonspor.
After his nine-year tenure at Liverpool, he has made the bold move to the Turkish Super Lig, arriving in Istanbul on Wednesday.
And the 34-year-old is looking forward to the new challenge.
In a message to fans, Salah said: "Trabzon, are you ready?
"I can hear you. See you very soon."
