Mohamed Salah has been pictured in a Trabzonspor jersey for the first time as he travels to Turkey to make his move official.
It was reported over the weekend that Trabzonspor officials met with Salah’s long-time representative Ramy Abbas on 1 August, where they reportedly put forward a two-year deal worth €17 million per year, with part of the package said to be backed by sponsors the club had specifically lined up to help fund the move.

His Liverpool followed a bruising few months in which Salah publicly clashed with Arne Slot after being repeatedly benched, memorably telling reporters at Elland Road in December that he felt he’d been “thrown under the bus” and that someone at the club “doesn’t want me”.
Although the pair patched things up after Salah returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, the relationship never fully recovered, and his final Liverpool season produced just 10 goals in 34 appearances – comfortably his lowest return in a Reds shirt.
Salah’s camp reportedly want a share of shirt sales in the region of 20 to 25 per cent, and that Trabzonspor are willing to accept it.
Trabzonspor ended last season in third place in the Super Lig and capped it off by lifting the Turkish Cup in May, ensuring Europa League football for the campaign ahead.
Their most recent league title came in 2022, and since then Galatasaray have gone on to win four straight championships.
It also ends any lingering speculation about a Saudi Pro League switch or a stay in the Premier League, with representatives having fielded “a lot of options,” in Salah’s own words, before he settled on the Süper Lig switch.
