'I think Tosin is leaving' - Fabrizio Romano shares update on future of Chelsea CB on Eric Chelle's radar
Renowned Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the future of Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo amid growing speculation over his status during the current summer transfer window.
Tosin joined the Blues on a free transfer from Fulham in the summer of 2024 but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Stamford Bridge despite showing flashes of his quality.
The 28-year-old, who is reportedly being monitored by Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, has found playing opportunities limited.
Since arriving at Chelsea, he has made 70 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
His limited game time has fueled uncertainty over his future, with reports linking the defender with a possible move to Chelsea's sister club, Strasbourg, in Ligue 1 as he seeks more regular first-team football.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said Chelsea were expected to have a busy August as the club prepared to complete several outgoing transfers.
"For Chelsea, it is going to be a busy August," Romano said. "Yes, they said Welbeck, Henderson, and all the others but now Chelsea are going to complete some outgoings."
He added that Tosin would also depart Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window.
"Trevoh Chalobah is going to Como for 30 million euros plus six in add-ons and a sell-on clause. (Benoît) Badiashile is leaving, I think Tosin Adarabioyo is also leaving," he stated.
Tosin, who is also eligible to represent the Super Eagles, will be hoping to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge as he looks to revive his career with more consistent playing time.
