Ukraine international Mudryk has not played a competitive match for 20 months, having been provisionally suspended after returning an “adverse finding” for the banned substance meldonium.
The 25-year-old was cleared to return to action last week after resolving his case with the Football Association and is expected to feature in today’s game.
New signing Welbeck leads the attack and Moises Caicedo, who also starts the game, gets his first involvement in this pre-season.
