There have been a few talking points this week so far when it comes to Everton, and I did predict a busy few days!

Things were bound to start heating up at some point, and with pre-season in full flow and the transfer window bubbling away, there are plenty of talking points.

It's that time of the year when we have to read the made up transfer stories, choose to believe the ones we want to be true, and sit and watch training videos just to feel like the football is back for a few minutes.

The real stuff starts soon, which is why Everton need to get a move on in the transfer market!

That being said, things are starting to happen.

As mentioned, there's been a few talking points already this week. Let's get into them.

Everton are now just waiting for Jordan Pickford to return to training, with Iliman Ndiaye jetting to Germany to link up with the lads.

The Everton social media team released footage of Ndiaye in action on the training pitch, while also being delighted to see some of his team-mates.

Ndiaye was given some time off following Senegal's elimination from the World Cup. The African side played their final game on the 1st of July, with Ndiaye returning just over a month later.

Those who follow Ndiaye on Instagram will have seen he's been doing his own training privately before linking up with his teammates.

Idrissa Gueye drops Ndiaye hint

Some of you may have seen that Idrissa Gueye dropped a little hint (?) about the future of Ndiaye at Everton.

Commenting on Everton's post welcoming Ndiaye back to training, Gueye had a simple, three word message.

"Here to stay."

Whether we can read too much into that remains to be seen, but it certainly links up with what Ndiaye's father recently said, confirming that he's not going anywhere this summer.

Conflicting reports spark confusion as Mouhamadou Ndiaye dismisses exit rumours, despite mounting speculation linking the Everton forward with a high-profile move to Saudi Arabia.

The Bobble has confirmed that Christian Norgaard has now completed his medical ahead of a move to Everton from Arsenal.

Reports confirmed that Everton are closing in on the signing of Norgaard, agreeing a fee in the region of £7m to secure his signature.

It's one of those deals that we often crave. No lengthy media talk, no three weeks of 'Everton are tracking Norgaard'. Just, out of nowhere, deal agreed. Love to see it, and it's a player who instantly improves us.

O'Neill speaks out on Johnston

As I'm sure you will have seen, Everton are pushing to sign Celtic defender Alistair Johnston in the summer transfer window.

The Canadian international started Celtic's opening game of the Scottish Premiership season on Monday evening, and before the game, manager Martin O'Neill spoke fondly of the player, confirming that bids had been placed.

"I think that there’s been offers put in. And I’m not widely surprised really, if you think about Alistair, how well he did in the World Cup, and also the back end of last season for us, coming back into the side."

It remains to be seen whether Everton agree a few, but Johnston does appear to be the right-back the Toffees have landed on this summer.
