Arsenal could discover whether they're likely to complete an audacious move for Vinicius Junior in the next day or so, with the player's agent and Real Madrid set for a new round of crunch talks regarding a contract renewal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners are looking to bolster the left-hand side of their attack this summer, as they look to retain their status as Premier League champions next season whilst adding a Champions League title to their name.
After initially being linked to the likes of Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola, shock news broke earlier this month indicating that the North London club are exploring a potential move for Vinicius.
The Brazilian's contract at the Bernabeu expires next summer, and Arsenal's sporting director, Andrea Berta, subsequently viewed the superstar winger's situation as a potential market opportunity.

Reports emerged on Wednesday morning indicating that Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United for around £75 million.
The good news could keep coming for Gunners supporters, as their pursuit of Vinicius continues to heat up. Speaking on his YouTube channel on Wednesday morning, transfer guru Romano revealed that Real Madrid are looking for a swift resolution for the 26-year-old, with further contract talks planned for Wednesday.
"For Real Madrid, these are going to be important hours, not just for the outgoings, as we mentioned with Mastantuono and all the others, but also for the situation of Vini Jr," he said.
"The agents of Vinicius Jr are the same as Yan Diomande. They arrived in Madrid yesterday to have conversations with Real Madrid to welcome Diomande in the next days, but also to have these negotiations with Real Madrid for Vinicius Jr.
"So there will be a new important round of talks between Vinicius Junior's agents and Real Madrid over the contract situation. The agreement was not reached in the last two or three meetings they had, with counterproposals on one side and the other. So still, there are points to discuss.
"One more meeting is going to take place and it is going to be important in the next hours to understand more on the future of Vinicius Jr. Remember that Vinicius has one year left on his contract, and so it's going to be an important situation that Real Madrid want to be resolved as soon as possible.
"Real Madrid don't want to arrive with the situation in summer 2027, without knowing if Vini will sign a new deal or not. So contacts will continue, and from there we will understand what's going to happen."

While prying one of the world's most prodigious talents away from Real Madrid feels like a long shot, there are reasons to believe Vinicius could opt to leave the Spanish capital this summer.
Contract talks have reportedly stalled over the last six months due to disagreements over image rights and a potential signing-on fee. These are financial aspects of the deal that shouldn't be an issue for Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Vinicius' agency, ROC Nation, would benefit economically from the move. This likely means they'll encourage their client to swap Madrid for North London, and players are often easily influenced by their entourage.
On top of this, Arsenal and Mikel Arteta can sell the player the dream of being the main man for a team competing for football's biggest prizes - something Real Madrid cannot offer with Kylian Mbappe already owning this role at the Bernabeu.
