Vinicius Jr.’s long-running contract saga with Real Madrid appears to be approaching its conclusion, with growing belief inside Arsenal that the Brazilian could be heading to North London, according to Jose Felix Diaz of AS.
Despite repeated public declarations of loyalty from both player and club, negotiations over a new contract have yet to produce an agreement.
Now, Arsenal have emerged as the strongest alternative, with manager Mikel Arteta pushing hard to bring the Brazilian to the Emirates.
According to the report, there is genuine confidence within Arsenal’s dressing room that Vinicius will eventually join the club and that his arrival is a ‘done deal’.
The belief stems from the message being shared internally by sporting director Andrea Berta, who is said to be optimistic that the Gunners can complete what could become the most expensive transfer in Premier League history.

Players within the squad see the move as increasingly realistic, having witnessed Arteta’s track record of identifying priority targets and successfully convincing the club to pursue them aggressively.
Arteta has outlined the role Vinícius would play at Arsenal, offering the winger a clear sporting project should he choose to leave Spain.
The Brazilian understands that the Premier League champions would make him the focal point of their attack, providing an attractive alternative if contract talks with Los Blancos ultimately collapse.
Moreover, Arsenal’s confidence is backed by significant financial resources. The club invested €293 million on seven signings last summer, following €240 million spent during the previous transfer window.
This summer, they have already secured the permanent arrivals of Piero Hincapie, Christos Tzolis, and goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
The situation is becoming increasingly urgent for Real Madrid. With less than eleven months remaining on Vinicius’ contract, club officials are preparing for what could be the decisive round of negotiations.
