Arsenal interest emerges as Everton face fresh Iliman Ndiaye uncertainty
Everton hopes of keeping Iliman Ndiaye have been dealt another potential complication, with Arsenal reportedly among the clubs to have shown interest in the forward.
Ben Jacobs has revealed that Arsenal are one of the clubs who “really like” the 26-year-old and have made an enquiry about his situation.
However, the biggest threat to Everton’s hopes of retaining Ndiaye remains Al Hilal, with the Saudi Pro League club continuing to work on a deal for the Senegal international.
Jacobs also stated that Ndiaye has rejected a contract proposal from Everton “for now”, leaving the player’s future unresolved as the transfer window enters a crucial stage.
Everton await Ndiaye decision
Ndiaye has become an important figure for Everton since joining from Marseille, providing creativity and attacking quality during his first season at the club.
His pace, versatility and ability to operate across the forward line have made him an attractive option for clubs looking to strengthen in attack.
For Everton, the priority remains trying to keep a player who quickly became a popular figure among supporters and a key part of David Moyes’ plans.
The club have already seen significant transfer interest in Ndiaye this summer, with Al Hilal having emerged as the strongest suitor.
Arsenal’s reported involvement adds another layer to the situation, although there has been no suggestion at this stage that the Premier League side have made a formal offer.
Everton will now continue to wait for clarity over Ndiaye’s future, with the forward’s decision likely to be one of the major talking points of the final weeks of the transfer window.
