Enzo Maresca refused to offer any assurances that Tijjani Reijnders will stay at Manchester City beyond this month. The Dutch international only joined the club last season but could leave before the end of the transfer window.
Nottingham Forest and Galatasaray are among the clubs to have shown interest in Reijnders and City have not ruled out a sale. Asked if he wanted to keep Reijnders, Maresca only went as far as saying that he was happy with his effort on the tour.
"He's a player that is here with us," he said. "The players that are with us until the day that they aren't with us, it's my duty to do the best for them. I'm happy with his performance and he's working good since he came back from his holiday. At the moment I'm very happy with him."
Savinho is another player out on tour with City whose future at the club is uncertain, with Tottenham looking to sign him this summer. Maresca pointed out that there are a number of situations that could require action from the club as they navigate the final weeks of the transfer window.
"In this moment, there is many speculation about our players - Savi is not the only one. While Savinho is here, we're going to try and do our best to help him how he can improve and then unfortunately we said many times with the transfer window open anything can happen we need to be ready for that."
