**Chelsea suffered a 1-0 pre-season defeat against Juventus in Hong Kong as Edon Zhegrova scored the only goal of a quiet contest.**
Xabi Alonso’s side saw plenty of possession but struggled to create clear opportunities against a compact Juventus defence.
There were still several positives for Chelsea.
Geovany Quenda impressed on his first appearance, while Marco Palestra and 16-year-old Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli continued their encouraging pre-season campaigns.
Estevao also provided a spark after coming from the bench, although Chelsea could not find the breakthrough.
Juventus eventually punished them in the second half when Zhegrova shifted onto his left foot outside the penalty area and curled a superb finish beyond Mike Penders.

The biggest moment from a Blues perspective came late on as Mykhailo Mudryk made his first Chelsea appearance since November 2024.
