Liverpool agree personal terms with attacker Kylian Mbappe is a big fan of
Here’s everyone’s dose of Bradley Barcola for the day as he continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.
At this point, everyone knows he’s open to a move to Liverpool and that PSG aren’t completely unwilling to sell, although their price tag could prove to be prohibitive.
A lot has been reported about Barcola, but the Reds really need to get a move on and get the deal over the line.
And now, if reports from France are to be believed, they have taken a massive step towards completing his signature.
Bradley Barcola agrees personal terms with Liverpool
Loic Tanzi of RMC Sport confirms that Barcola has agreed personal terms with the Reds and would like to play in England for the forthcoming season.
The report also mentions that while his desire is to secure a transfer, he won’t force a move out of PSG, seemingly out of respect for the club that catapulted him into superstardom.
All negotiating parties are confident that a deal can be done, but not at PSG’s asking price of €150m as Liverpool hope to bring the fee down to €120m.
Before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Kylian Mbappe showered high praise on Barcola and the pair combined to devastating effect at the competition.
Their chemistry and Mbappe’s comments prove just how good a player the 24-year-old is and to be honest, he still has a few gears to go.
“It was inevitable that he would reach the highest level, but he did so in his very first season in Paris,” said Mbappe in an interview with L’Equipe via Paris Fans.
“He’s really starting to establish himself with the national team. Bradley doesn’t talk much. You have to understand that. But once you do, you know he’s a great guy.
“He’s already played in a European Championship, which was very beneficial for him.
“He also gained more confidence because he played quite a few matches afterward. But a World Cup is something else entirely. It will be his first, and I hope that he, too, can take this step and help us.”
Barcola is set to return to Paris to resume pre-season training next week along with the rest of his French national teammates at the club.
The aforementioned report adds one bit of interesting detail: Luis Enrique’s decisions during PSG’s opening fixtures will be a key factor in the deal if it isn’t done by then.
If Barcola is left out, it would come as the clearest sign yet that he is on the move, while if he carries on playing, it could probably mean he’s cracking on with business and is open to remaining at the club for at least another season.
