Chelsea receive offer for defender as exit talks advance
Chelsea have received a formal offer from Crystal Palace for Axel Disasi as the Blues continue working to reduce Xabi Alonso’s crowded centre-back group.
Palace have proposed an initial loan containing an obligation to buy for the 28-year-old, who remains their priority replacement for Maxence Lacroix.
Fabrice Hawkins reports, via SportsView, that negotiations between Chelsea and Palace are ongoing, with the clubs discussing the valuation and conditions attached to the permanent transfer.

Chelsea have been trying to find Disasi a permanent route out of Stamford Bridge throughout the summer.
The France international spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United and returned to Chelsea without a clear place in Alonso’s plans.
Palace have now provided the most concrete route forward.
SportsView reports that Chelsea initially preferred an immediate permanent transfer, but Palace’s loan structure would still lead to a sale if the obligation is triggered. A meeting has also taken place between Palace and Disasi’s representatives as talks progress.
The offer arrives after Chelsea completed their move for Lacroix from Palace, increasing the pressure to move established defenders out before the new season begins.
Disasi’s departure would remove another senior player from the group and give him the regular Premier League football he has lacked at Chelsea.
There is still work to do before an agreement is completed.
However, Palace progressing from interest to a formal proposal represents the clearest indication yet that Disasi’s Chelsea spell could finally be nearing its end.
