Transfer targets: Ibrahim Mbaye, Vinicius Jr and Bruno Guimaraes could all be on the move

Arsenal are about to sign Bruno Guimaraes and await an imminent decision from Vinicius Jr as Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham all step up their business in a busy summer window. Guimaraes has now passed a medical at Arsenal ahead of his £75million switch that should be announced soon, while Vinicius is poised to make a call on a final contract offer from Real Madrid. The Gunners are also plotting a new bid for Ezri Konsa having recently been linked with Ferran Torres.

Chelsea are on the verge of signing Pep Chavarria and eyeing a fresh offer for Alex Scott, though Diogo Costa will not be heading to Stamford Bridge. Manchester United remain in pursuit of Lewis Hall, while they wait to see if Guimaraes’ arrival at Arsenal could boost their hopes over Myles Lewis-Skelly. Liverpool are still pushing for Bradley Barcola as they also target PSG team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye.

Arsenal to announce Bruno Guimaraes deal after medical

Arsenal are poised to announce the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle.

One of the summer’s longest-running and most complicated transfer sagas is finally reaching the end after a deal worth around £75m was finally agreed between the Premier League rivals earlier this week.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Guimaraes passed his medical on Wednesday and an official announcement from Arsenal is expected “soon” following talks between the player and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal deal confirmed after £75m Bruno Guimaraes transfer is agreed

Christian Norgaard has joined Everton, as Arsenal prepare to confirm the signing of Bruno Guimaraes.

Norgaard, who did not feature for the Gunners in their pre-season loss to Real Betis on Wednesday night, departs the Emirates Stadium after just one season and leaves a Premier League winner.

"It feels amazing. I'm so, so happy and pleased to have joined Everton,” the midfielder said.

Vinicius Junior transfer decision 'imminent'

Real Madrid are expecting an imminent response from Vinicius Junior to their contract offer, with Arsenal ready to accelerate their interest.

Upon returning to pre-season training on Monday, the situation regarding the Brazilian’s future has taken centre stage.

Vinicius Junior’s deal with the Spanish giants expires next summer and talks over an extension had stalled for almost a year as the forward holds out for a salary worth around €30million a year.

Following a meeting between the 26-year-old’s representatives and Real Madrid on Wednesday, the Athletic reported that Los Blancos have raised their contract offer to Vinicius Jr.

Crucially, the proposal is said to reflect the Brazilian’s importance to the club and their ongoing sporting project.

This is extremely significant as previous reports claimed the club had no plans to perform a U-turn, standing firm on their latest offer of €22m annually.

DONE DEAL! Lincoln sign Tottenham youngster

Lincoln City have completed the signing of highly rated striker Mason Melia on a season-long loan from Premier League side Tottenham.

Sporting director Jez George said: “Mason is a player that we knew about in the League of Ireland, playing under Stephen Kenny at Pats, and we first enquired to Tottenham about him in January. It has been well documented in the press that we beat up to 30 other clubs for his signature, and he is an exceptional talent who we feel can make a big impact for us in the Championship.

“He shows maturity beyond his years, physically and mentally, displaying all the traits we value out of possession, as well as moments of magic in the final third and a real instinct to score goals.

“This loan was delayed due to Mason being selected for Tottenham’s tour of Australia and he played 25 minutes against Sydney last week, so he is raring to go. I would also like to thank his agents and the staff at Tottenham for trusting us with the next stage of Mason’s development.”

This is very significant.

As per The Athletic, Real Madrid have raised their contract offer to Vinicius Junior.

Crucially, the proposal is said to reflect the Brazilian’s importance to the club and their ongoing sporting project.
