Arsenal suffered a 3-1 defeat against Real Betis in a pre-season friendly held at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday after a sloppy performance.
The Gunners' defence was particularly criticised for dismal defending, contributing to two of Real Betis's three goals, while Piero Hincapie scored Arsenal's sole goal from an unmarked header.
The match occurred on a day when Arsenal moved closer to securing the signing of Brazil international Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United for £75 million, with the midfielder granted permission for a medical.
Manager Mikel Arteta was unimpressed by large parts of the team's display, despite the pre-season context, noting that no player significantly boosted their chances for more playing time.
Arsenal are also continuing their pursuit of Vinicius Jr, though Real Madrid are offering the Brazilian fresh terms following his return to training.
