Liverpool’s owners can facilitate negotiations with Paris Saint-German for Bradley Barcola this summer.
The Premier League side are keen on the forward, who has already held talks with Andoni Iraola.
Last week, Sport Witness covered claims from France that he has reached an agreement with Liverpool.
Liverpool’s first offer rejected
L’Equipe also claim the 23-year-old has agreed to personal terms with the Reds. He wants a move to England but would never force an exit from Luis Enrique’s side.
The Merseyside club have to find an agreement with the Ligue 1 winners, and that won’t be easy.
Liverpool made an initial verbal offer of around €100m to test the waters, and the Paris club rejected it.
The two clubs have held talks and in the last round, the Anfield club set a €120m price, which doesn’t please the Ligue 1 winners despite representing a record breaking sale for them.
PSG are demanding over €150m with bonuses and have pointed at a few big transfers in the last 12 months. This includes Aston Villa selling Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for €137m, Elliot Anderson’s €135m move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City and Alexander Isak’s €145m move to Anfield last summer.
L’Equipe states: ‘However, the Parisian management overlooked a crucial detail. All these transfers took place between Premier League clubs, where prices are skyrocketing. A comparison with that market is therefore not really relevant, and Liverpool knows it.’
Therefore, Andoni Iraola’s side have set a €120m price for Bradley Barcola.
Optimism of agreement
Despite the difference in valuations, the newspaper claims ‘the various parties involved are even confident about the possibility of finalising a transfer’.

Bradley Barcola’s agent Moussa Sissoko is already at work to find a solution. The France international is willing to wait until deadline day to secure a move.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is expected to get involved in negotiations with the Reds.
Arctos own a minority stake at both PSG and Fenway Sports Group, who own Liverpool. This connection can facilitate negotiations between the top leaders of the two clubs for the attacker. Meanwhile, the player will return to training next week.
The newspaper states: ‘In a case like Barcola’s, the urgency of the transfer window’s end could accelerate negotiations, especially if Liverpool don’t find another option and the winger grows impatient.’
To sum it up, PSG are open to a sale and Liverpool are keen on signing Barcola. The two clubs have to close the gap in valuation for an agreement to be reached.
