Tottenham forward is being pursued by Everton.
Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on bolstering the forward department in the final weeks of the summer transfer window. They must address the lack of creativity, width and goals before the September 1 transfer deadline, with several attackers linked with moves to N17.
Spurs have held talks with Liverpool over a move for Cody Gakpo. Roberto De Zerbi is on the lookout for a new left-winger and have been pursuing Gakpo, whose future at Anfield is uncertain. The 47-year-old also wants to add a new striker to his ranks amid the uncertain future of Richarlison.
Richarlison is into the final 12 months of his contract. The 29-year-old was Tottenham’s top scorer last season with 12 goals, but given his poor injury record and chronic lack of consistency, the Lilywhites are reportedly planning to cash him in this summer.
It has lately emerged that Richarlison wants to stay in the Premier League amid interest from European clubs. This has caught the attention of Everton, who have been vying to re-sign the forward from last year.
According to reliable transfer insider HimothyReports on X, Everton have looked at Richarlison as a potential option to bolster their forward department. David Moyes is still undecided whether to push for the Brazilian international. Spurs are looking for at least £35 million to sell the forward.
The Toffees fizzled out at the business end of last season, costing them a place in Europe in the process. However, the club have responded with an aggressive recruitment drive designed to ensure they are better equipped for another push towards Europe under David Moyes. And the Merseysiders have added Richarlison to their list of potential attacking reinforcements, with the Tottenham man’s contract situation making him an appealing option this summer.
Everton have looked at Richarlison and Jackson (Villa also interested in Jackson).
Moyes undecided whether to push for Richarlison but the fee would have to be over 35m to be considered.

De Zerbi had appeared to confirm last week that Richarlison wanted out. While he wants the Brazilian to stay, the versatile forward has got a decision to make over his future quickly. A return to Everton, where he played the best bit of football of his career in England, should be tempting. He was adored by the Goodison Park faithful, and that bond remains intact, as evidenced by scenes in January 2025.
However, the sticking point could be the valuation. With less than a year left on his contract, coupled with his fitness concerns, Everton might hesitate to meet Tottenham’s £35 million asking price for the South American star. If our club bosses decided to lower the asking price, it might spring the Royal Blues into action.
