Rangers exit nearly done
According to the commentators information, a flurry of incomings are on the way for the Super Lig champions. And, if he is to be believed, Galatasaray have already done a deal for the Rangers striker.
“There is a tremendous amount of activity at Galatasaray,” he said.
“The reason for this activity is Batrakov. It seems the Can Uzun deal is done. It appears that the transfers of Can Uzun, Batrakov, and Chermiti – have been finalised.
“Okan Buruk really wants Chermiti; he is his primary target.”
Now, Şener makes no mention of a fee, nor any transfer details at this moment in time. Reports have Chermiti’s value at around £10m, but it’s unlikely that Rangers would sell for that price given they paid £8m to sign him from Everton.
Indeed, reports in Scotland have indicated that a sale will only happen if they receive an offer they cannot refuse. Whether Galatasaray are willing to offer that amount, remains to be seen.
Everton will be watching transfer
Everton also hold a re-sale clause on the Portuguese striker, meaning they could earn a seven-figure sum from any potential deal. And they will be watching closely for a secondary reason, Barış Alper Yılmaz.
