Chelsea fans got to see Geovany Quenda in a blue shirt for the first time on Wednesday as the 19-year-old and his teammates took on Juventus.
They fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Kai Tak Stadium, but Chelsea supporters would have been impressed with Quenda’s performance.
The Portugal Under-21 international’s play was very positive, while he combined really well with Marco Palestra down the right-hand side.
Chelsea have some good wide options, but where does Quenda rank among them? The Chelsea Chronicle has made a list!

6. Mykhailo Mudryk
It was good to see Mykhailo Mudryk return to the pitch on Wednesday, but the Ukrainian has still not played any competitive football since 2024.
Naturally, his development has stalled and he cannot be considered as one of Chelsea’s top wingers at this moment in time.
5. Jamie Gittens
Jamie Gittens. There is definitely a player in there. The 21-year-old has impressed in pre-season, but unfortunately, Chelsea fans saw very little of him in the previous campaign because of injuries.
4. Geovany Quenda
Quenda also picked up quite a bad injury last term, but he was making an impact for Sporting before that, particularly in the Champions League.
He scored a couple of goals and managed to register five assists in the Portuguese league, whereas Gittens could only find the back of the net once in all competitions. Based on how their 2025/26 campaigns went, Quenda just edges out Gittens here.
3. Estevao Willian
A fan favourite, many will feel that Estevao Willian should be a bit higher on this list. However, the Brazilian is not as consistent as Pedro Neto yet and does not press and track back as well as his teammate.
Estevao is a better dribbler than Neto, though, and has an extremely high ceiling. It probably will not be long before he surpasses him.

2. Pedro Neto
Neto can be frustrating to watch at times, but he is capable of producing a special moment even when he is not playing well.
The Portugal international has a great left foot and can use it to score a goal or put a dangerous ball into the box. For a Premier League winger as experienced as him, his numbers should be better. But Neto, who is attracting interest from Manchester City, is one of the best wide men in English football.
1. Morgan Rogers
Rogers is not a natural winger, but the expectation is that he will play on the left for Chelsea in the new season, while he also started a lot of games there while at Aston Villa.
The England star cannot be stopped once he starts driving with the ball and has one of the best long shots in the league. It is why he tends to outperform his xG.
Rogers is Chelsea’s best wide attacker, though you could also give that title to Cole Palmer since he plays some games on the right. However, given that Palmer is probably going to play as the No.10 in Xabi Alonso’s line-up, we will omit him from this list.
