Arsenal announce major new sponsorship agreement until 2033

Arsenal have officially announced an extension of their long-standing partnership with Emirates, with the agreement now set to run until 2033.

The Gunners confirmed the news on Thursday, extending one of the most recognisable commercial relationships in world football after 20 years together.

Arsenal announced the agreement with the message: “Arsenal 🤝 Emirates – History in the Making.

“After 20 years of writing history together, we’re extending our partnership until 2033.”

Emirates and Arsenal first joined forces in 2006, with the airline becoming the club’s shirt sponsor and securing naming rights to the Emirates Stadium following Arsenal’s move from Highbury.

The Emirates name has subsequently appeared on Arsenal’s men’s first-team shirts throughout the club’s entire time at their current home.

The relationship has become synonymous with the modern era of Arsenal, spanning two decades and some of the biggest moments in the club’s recent history.

The latest extension means the partnership is now guaranteed to continue for another seven years and take the relationship beyond a quarter of a century.

It also provides The Gunners with further long-term commercial stability as the club continues its growth both on and off the pitch.

Emirates has remained prominently associated with Arsenal throughout significant changes at the club, including the final years of Arsene Wenger’s reign and the subsequent rebuilding of the team under Mikel Arteta.

The partnership has also coincided with Arsenal returning to the summit of English football, with Arteta’s side winning the Premier League title last season.

Arsenal’s commercial strength has continued to grow alongside their resurgence on the pitch, making the continuation of such a long-standing partnership another significant development for the club.

The Emirates Stadium has been Arsenal’s home since opening in 2006 and has become one of the most recognisable grounds in European football.

Thursday’s announcement ensures the Emirates name will remain closely associated with Arsenal for years to come.

Having already celebrated 20 years together, Arsenal and Emirates will now continue what the club has described as “History in the Making” until at least 2033.
