Everton, Aston Villa and Leeds United are on the lookout for Lyon’s Pavel Šulc this summer.
Leeds United and Aston Villa scouts had followed Šulc before the 25-year-old joined Lyon from Viktoria Plzeň in August 2025.
Last month, Sport Witness covered claims from France that the Whites stepped up their efforts to sign him.
Daniel Farke’s side maintain interest, and Aston Villa and Everton are also in the picture.
PL trio keen
That’s according to But! Football Club, who report the three English clubs are keen on the attacking midfielder.
Leeds United have positioned themselves over the past few weeks but haven’t made any offers so far.
Everton and Aston Villa, on the other hand, have made approaches to ask about Pavel Šulc. The outlet doesn’t specify if the Premier League duo contacted Lyon, the player’s agent or both.
Leeds United and Everton haven’t qualified for Europe, and Aston Villa will play in the Champions League. This could give Unai Emery’s side an edge over two other clubs.
The Czech Republic international is gaining attention in the Premier League, but none of his suitors have made official offers. There’s also no clarity whether the Ligue 1 side and/or the player are open to a transfer.
Manager aware of interest
Pavel Šulc spent his entire playing career in Czech football before moving to the French club. He has impressed in his debut season, managing 11 goals and three assists in the league and a goal and three assists in the Europa League.

The Czech has missed pre-season because of an injury. Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca talked about this and about the growing interest.
“We know that Pavel had a great season last season and that he’s a player other clubs are watching,” he said.
The Lyon star’s contract is until 2029 and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is now €20m.
