Mohamed Salah has officially completed his move to the Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor, with the former Liverpool forward signing a reported two-year contract after arriving in Turkey to finalise the transfer.
The announcement comes after days of negotiations and follows the club’s earlier confirmation that talks with the Egypt international had begun.

Trabzonspor unveiled the signing with a video on social media showing Salah aboard a private jet wearing the club’s home shirt and smiling as he travelled to Istanbul.
In the video, the 34-year-old delivered a message to supporters, saying: “Trabzonspor, are you ready, I can hear you. See you very soon.”
The video quickly attracted widespread attention, marking one of the biggest transfer announcements in the club’s recent history.
Salah’s arrival is expected to provide a major boost both on the pitch and commercially as Trabzonspor prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.
The move brings an end to Salah’s distinguished nine-year association with Liverpool.
After leaving Anfield as a free agent this summer, the Egyptian had been linked with several clubs before Trabzonspor emerged as his next destination.
Mohamed Salah leaves Liverpool as one of the most decorated players in the club’s modern era. During his time with the Reds, he won nine major trophies, including two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League, while establishing himself as one of the club’s greatest goalscorers.
Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season, earning a place in the UEFA Europa League play-off round.
The club has moved aggressively in the transfer market this summer and views Salah as the marquee addition to strengthen its squad ahead of domestic and European competition.
Before the official announcement, Trabzonspor had informed the public that negotiations with Salah had begun, with club officials confirming the forward would travel to Istanbul before completing the formalities of the transfer.
Reports throughout Tuesday indicated the parties had agreed on a two-year contract before the deal was finalised.
Salah now begins the next chapter of his career in Turkey after spending almost a decade in the Premier League. Expectations will be high as Trabzonspor look to challenge for major honours with one of world football’s most recognisable forwards leading their attack.
