**Liverpool are in the market to sign another attacker or two, but it will not be Yan Diomande.**
The Ivorian is set to sign for Real Madrid in what is set to be a record-breaking transfer, with the LaLiga giants finally getting their man after weeks of negotiations.
Diomande was initially linked with a move to Liverpool, and for a brief moment, it also looked like the Reds would get him.
However, he rejected the Reds’ advances for PSG before turning down the Ligue 1 champions for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Diomande is set to cost around €140m including add-ons, making him the most expensive purchase in Real Madrid’s decorated history.
But before his move to the Spanish capital was confirmed, he had a conversation with Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola. And while he was attracted by the prospect of joining the club, he felt a move to PSG would be better for his development under Luis Enrique.
