Chelsea
Trevoh Chalobah is set to leave Stamford Bridge. Como have agreed a £31m deal for the Chelsea defender. As per the latest transfer news, Chelsea will receive an initial £25.7m. The club can also earn another £5.1m through add-ons once the deal is complete.
Trevoh Chalobah Nears Como Move After Long Talks
The Blues have finally struck a deal with Como. Talks went on for weeks before both clubs reached an agreement. As reported by BBC Sport, Como will pay £25.7m up front. Chelsea can also earn another £5.1m through add-ons. The total fee is close to Chelsea’s original asking price. The club wanted £30m plus £5m in bonuses, and the final package is close to that figure.
Negotiations had been under way since early June. Inter Milan also showed interest earlier this summer. But Como manager Cesc Fabregas remained determined to sign Chalobah. Reports say he has wanted the defender for more than six months. As reported by Yahoo Sports, Chalobah could complete his medical in Italy within days. Como also had a strong season behind them. They now hope to build on that success. They secured Champions League **football**after finishing fourth in Serie A.
Chalobah now has the chance to play a bigger role at his new club. His departure ends nearly two decades at Stamford Bridge. He came through every level of Chelsea’s academy. He later became a regular in the first team and made more than eighty appearances for the club.

Chelsea Rebuild Their Defence Under Xabi Alonso
This move is part of Chelsea’s wider defensive rebuild. New head coach Xabi Alonso wants a smaller squad. More changes are expected before the transfer window closes. Chelsea have already strengthened their defence by signing Maxence Lacroix for £52m. The French defender gives Alonso another option at the back.
Even after signing Lacroix, Chelsea still have plenty of centre-backs. Axel Disasi, Wesley Fofana, Aaron Anselmino, Levi Colwill, Mamadou Sarr, Tosin Adarabioyo, Josh Acheampong and Benoit Badiashile all remain at the club. Every defender will have to fight for minutes. More departures before the transfer window closes now look increasingly likely.
Disasi and Badiashile could still leave before deadline day. Chelsea are also weighing up loan moves for Sarr and Acheampong. Those moves would open space in the squad and help the younger defenders get regular football. Alonso appears focused on working with a smaller and more settled group.

Trevoh Chalobah Set for a New Chapter in Serie A
For Trevoh Chalobah, this move offers a fresh start. He leaves familiar surroundings and enters a new football culture. Como are building an ambitious team under Fabregas. The former midfielder has clear ideas. His squad should compete on several fronts this season.
As reported by beIN Sports, Como remain active in the market this summer, with Yan Couto also arriving as another defensive signing. Signing an experienced Premier League defender fits those ambitions. Chalobah should strengthen the defence. He also brings valuable Premier League experience as Como prepare for the new season.
The clubs should confirm the deal once the paperwork is complete. Chalobah is then expected to join his new teammates ahead of pre-season training. After spending his entire career at Chelsea, he now begins a new chapter. It is the biggest move of his career so far and will be his first spell in Italian football.
