Nørgaard opens up on the move
Christian Nørgaard has revealed the role Mikel Arteta played in convincing him to join Everton from Arsenal, saying his old Gunners boss spoke warmly about David Moyes and his own time as a player under him at Everton.
Nørgaard also recalled facing Everton as an opponent, describing the old Goodison atmosphere as one that left the ground “literally shaking.” The Dane completed his £7m move on Wednesday.

Parrott chase drops down the pecking order
Everton remain interested in Troy Parrott but are currently trailing Ajax and Real Betis in the race for the AZ Alkmaar striker, with Fulham also keeping tabs on the situation. His price has dropped from around £31m to the £25-30m range following a 24-goal Eredivisie season. Full story on where the chase stands.
Johnston deal edging closer
Alistair Johnston is understood to have told Celtic he wants to make the move to Merseyside, with Everton’s opening offer of around £12m plus add-ons still short of Celtic’s valuation. Celtic are reported to be resigned to losing the full-back, with an agreement expected to follow. Full story on the Johnston situation.
Ndiaye’s future still hangs in the balance
Al-Hilal are preparing an offer for Iliman Ndiaye, with Everton’s valuation understood to sit around £75m. Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been credited with interest, though none are believed willing to match Al-Hilal’s package. Everton are said to be open to a sale only if their price is met.
Ipswich competition again
Everton and Ipswich Town have been credited with interest in free agent wing-back Krepin Diatta, with Marseille and Schalke also in the mix. The Senegal international, available since leaving Monaco, is reportedly taking his time before committing to his next move — it’s the second time this window Everton and Ipswich have found themselves chasing the same name.
