INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) — Jonathan Taylor has officially signed a two-year contract extension with the Indianapolis Colts.
According to reports from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal is worth $44 million, with a total value up to $47 million. It includes $39 million guaranteed.
This is the largest third contract ever given to a running back in NFL history.
Taylor, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, has 7,598 rushing yards and 76 total touchdowns in his career. Last season, he ran for 1,585 yards, scored 20 total touchdowns, and led the NFL with 323 rushing attempts.
He is 27 years old and entering his seventh season — all with the Colts.
