Our goalkeeper has left the Blues to join Leeds United after two spells at the Etihad.
Arriving into our Academy, James Trafford spend eight years progressing through our ranks and gaining vital experience on loan, before moving to Burnley.
In that time, he went on to establish himself as one of the most coveted young goalkeepers in Europe.
He chalked up an impressive 29 clean sheets in 45 Championship matches in 2024/25, equalling the record number of shut outs in a season in English football, while conceding just 16 goals along the way.
The Academy graduate returned to City in July 2025 after two seasons away from the Club.
Trafford showcased a fantastic first season back at the Etihad, making 17 appearances in between the sticks.
He departs having helped the Blues to two major honours in his final term, the Carabao Cup after success over Arsenal and the FA Cup after triumphing over Chelsea.
