Liverpool could well be edging closer to the signing of Bradley Barcola, with Paris Saint-Germain having already signed one new forward and claimed to be in talks for another.
Barcola has become the Reds’ primary target now as they continue to look for wingers, with a replacement for Mohamed Salah still proving elusive even after the Egyptian found himself a new club.
Work has been ongoing though, with previous attempts to lure Yan Diomande failing, leading Liverpool to Barcola, and the transfer dominos would appear to be falling into place now, with PSG seemingly getting ready for his departure.
The European champions had been the frontrunners to sign Diomande before Real Madrid entered the fray, but they have moved on quickly from his decision to move to the Bernabeu.
Maghnes Akliouche - another player to have been approached by Liverpool this summer - has now been officially unveiled after signing for PSG from Monaco, with the 24-year-old having signed a deal until 2031.
And Akliouche could well be joined by another fellow winger soon. According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG is now in talks with Ajax for Mika Godts, with the Belgium international having already agreed personal terms as negotiations on a fee continue.

That will be music to the ears of Liverpool fans. While there could be some doubt over whether Akliouche would be seen as a replacement for Barcola, Godts is a natural left-winger, and would therefore be in direct competition with the 23-year-old.
What’s more, according to French outlet L'Equipe, Barcola is expected to secure a transfer before the window closes. It’s claimed that while Liverpool and PSG are still "very far apart" on their valuations for the winger, a deal should be reached, with the French side having reportedly lowered their price tag.
Having initially asked for around $195 million (£145M), PSG is now said to be demanding $172 million (£128M), with the BBC suggesting that Liverpool is preparing to up its offer.

Barcola is not the only PSG star the Reds are eyeing up either, with Ibrahim Mbaye also being eyed up. Liverpool.com understands the 18-year-old is one of a number of attacking options being considered at Anfield, with no offer having yet been made.
And while it looks like all the pieces are fitting into place for Barcola to move to Liverpool, there will still be some concern over potential interest from elsewhere.
Arsenal may well be a threat to the Reds’ attempts to land their target. The Gunners have been linked with Barcola, although were reported to have been prioritizing a sensational move for Vinicius Jr amid the Brazilian’s contract standoff with Real Madrid.
With Vinicius now having agreed a new deal at the Bernabeu, Mikel Arteta’s side will have to look elsewhere, and Barcola may now be closer to the top of the shopping list, meaning Liverpool might have to move quickly.
