Chelsea defender Benoît Badiashile appears to be edging closer towards a summer departure from Stamford Bridge, with reports claiming the French centre-back has reached an agreement in principle with Napoli over personal terms.
Reports suggest Badiashile has agreed the framework of a long-term contract with Napoli, with the proposed arrangement potentially keeping him in Italy beyond an initial loan spell. The remaining discussions are focused on the agreement between the two clubs, as Chelsea weigh up whether a temporary exit or a permanent sale best suits their plans.
For Chelsea, Badiashile’s potential departure would represent another change in a defensive department that has undergone significant turnover in recent windows.
