Mohamed Salah has found his new club, and no doubt there will be plenty of Liverpool fans eager to see him play his first game for Trabzonspor.
After weeks of speculation, Salah completed his move to Turkiye this week after bringing the curtain down on his nine-year spell at Anfield earlier in the summer.
The 34-year-old was greeted by thousands of fans as he arrived in Istanbul for his medical before going on to the city of Trabzon, where he donned his new No.10 shirt and put pen to paper on a two-year deal to confirm his new home.
Salah of course holds legendary status at Liverpool following his time at the club, having become the Reds’ third highest goalscorer of all time during his nine years on Merseyside. There will certainly be a lot of supporters keeping a close eye on his time in Turkiye, with his debut potentially coming next week.
Trabzonspor begins its new season on August 15 as it kicks off the Turkish Super Lig campaign with a trip to Istanbul to take on Kasimpasa.
The bad news for UK-based fans hoping to catch Salah’s potential debut is it will be very difficult to watch. The game is not being carried by any broadcasters in the country as things stand.

Supporters in the US may have more luck though, with the game being shown live on beIN Sports. Having only just arrived at Trabzonspor though, there is every chance that Salah’s debut could be held back a little longer to give him more training time - not to mention a chance to play in front of his new home crowd.
Five days later on August 20, Trabzonspor is set to play for a spot in the Europa League. Having finished third in the Super Lig last season, the club will have to go through a play-off round to reach the league phase of the main competition.
The first leg of that tie will be played at home, with Trabzonspor set to face one of Hungary’s Ferencvaros or Poland’s Gornik Zabrze. The former holds the advantage in that qualifying tie, having won the first leg 1-0, with the second leg to be played on August 13.
All Europa League games are shown on TNT Sports in the UK, meaning fans could get the chance to see Salah in action. Paramount holds the broadcast rights to the competition in the US.
