BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns made a concerted effort to upgrade their wide receiver corps in the offseason by using two of the team's first three picks in the top 39 slots , along with signing an unrestricted free agent.
KC Concepcion was taken in the first round by the Browns at No. 24, while Denzel Boston was taken in the second round at No. 39. They also signed wide receiver Tylan Wallace as an unrestricted free agent who played for Todd Monken with the Ravens.
Jerry Jeudy has been the Browns No. 1 wide receiver on the depth chart for the past two seasons, but the Browns felt they needed to get more weapons for the offense After having a breakout season with the Browns in 2024 when Jeudy went to his first Pro Bowl after catching 90 passes for 1,229 yards (13.7 avg.) including four touchdowns, Jeudy's production dropped to 50 receptions for 602 yards (12.0 avg.) and two touchdowns in 2025.
Jeudy has been impressed by what he's seen by Concepcion and Boston.
"For sure," he said. "Having a great group of young guys, being able to come into the league and I made a few plays in the league. Casey and Denzel getting comfortable with during camp, making plays. So having a great group of guys that understand the offense, could make play outside, inside is going to help us all, in general."
Jeudy (6-1, 195) is in his seventh season after being a first round draft pick of the Broncos from Alabama. In his first season with the Browns, Jeudy was credited with three drops on 145 targets by Pro Football Reference. However, in 2025, Jeudy had 10 drops on 106 targets.

Jeudy, 27, said he's spent the offseason trying to get the drops corrected.
"For sure," he said. "As a receiver, your job is to catch the ball. And we pride ourselves in catching balls and making plays. So that's the only thing I really feel like that was something big that I needed to work on."
Jeudy said he is motivated to have a bounce back season after having his numbers drop in 2025.
"I'm working the same way I always have been working, doing the same thing I always have been doing," he said. "This is our life, this is what we do. So I pride myself on getting better, at least one percent better each and every day. So that's what I just continue been doing. I was just posting it. It's been the same routine ever."
Jeudy is excited about what he's seen in the offense that Todd Monken is installing with the Browns. He said he watched film of the Ravens to get an idea of what to look for.
"I actually did," he said. "I watched some few clips of the Ravens this past year. And this offense, I'm excited because it all gets you in the right formation, the right play against the right look. So I think that's a big jump, a big step forward for this offense is the quarterback, being able to change the plays or have two or three plays in one just to get in the right look and the right play card against the defense. So that's going to be helpful a lot."
Jeudy was involved with a little controversy before training camp when a video was posted him holding up four fingers and the clip went viral implying that Jeudy was campaigning for Deshaun Watson to be the starting quarterback. He wanted to set the record straight when he met with the media for the first time in training camp after being asked about it.

"The internet, they do what they do," he said. "Flip a story, make it to something that it ain't. So I've been in the league for seven years, at least five or six of the years, it's all been a quarterback competition within those years. I think I'm mature enough and wise enough to not answer questions like that. For everyone to believe that I would answer something like that on social media is kind of wild, but you got to understand this is what we in and understand how everybody viewing the quarterback competition in this room. So every little thing is going to try to turn it into that, which I get it. I understand. But like I said, I spoke on it. I said what I truly felt about the situation and I leave it off from there. If anybody want to believe, that's what they want to believe."
Jeudy was asked why he put up four fingers and what it was about.
"So the truth is, if you could watch the video, you could see it was cut," he said. "Then whoever did it scrolled up to make it seem like I would answer that question, which I wasn't. There's a thousand questions popping up rolling all at once. I seen some guys saying I was throwing up the '4'. I wasn't. Some guy was saying it because my four collar jersey.
"But before the video cut, it was me and my daughter and I showed the video," he said. "I showed my daughter and somebody was asking how old she is and I threw out the four because she's four years old. But everybody going to make it seem like I should have been thinking and saying it instead of throwing up the four, knowing everybody going to make it seem bigger than what it is. But it's just part of the game."

***The Greetham Angle Take:***The Browns know they need more from their wide receiver room. With the talent the Browns have brought in this offseason in the wide receiver room, it should take the pressure off from Jeudy being the primary threat at wide receiver. Concepcion, Boston, Isaiah Bond and Wallace will all add to the arsenal. Bond was a highly rated wide receiver who did not get drafted due to off field allegations, but the Browns were able to get him as an undrafted rookie free agent. He was not in training camp at this time last year, not signing with the Browns until August 18.
Jeudy has had several good days in training camp, including on Thursday, where he made several plays down the field. When it's all said and done, one or more of the receivers could end up moving past Jeudy into the No. 1 spot on the depth chart and that depth will only help the offense.
