**Liverpool’s interest in signing Bradley Barcola has been well known for several weeks, but we are now beginning to see progress made on the blockbuster deal.**
The 23-year-old is the top priority for sporting director Richard Hughes, and it appears as though a breakthrough has been made.
A report from an independent Liverpool outlet has now claimed that a deal has been agreed in principle with PSG, while personal talks have long since been described by major outlets as not being problematic for the club or for Barcola.
Liverpool agree deal in principle with PSG

[DaveOCKOP.com](https://www.daveockop.com/transfer-news/exclusive-liverpool-agree-deal-in-principle-for-bradley-barcola/) exclusively reports that Liverpool have reached an agreement for the signing of Barcola after weeks of talks and slow progress.
The report reads: _“Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle for the transfer of Bradley Barcola. Liverpool are now jumping over the final hurdles to bring him to Anfield this summer._
_“All that remains is for Liverpool and PSG to agree a fee for the former Olympique Lyon winger. We can now reveal that a breakthrough has been reached between the two European giants. There is an agreement in principle between Liverpool and PSG for the transfer of Bradley Barcola._
_“It’s important to note that the agreement is in principle, and nothing is signed or completed just yet. The fee is believed to be in the region of €128m, with add-ons said to be more achievable in comparison to earlier clauses suggested.”_
The sooner this gets done, the sooner Liverpool can get other signings over the line

Signing Barcola is the most important piece of business on Hughes’ agenda this summer, but there is a feeling that the attention being paid to signing the French attacker has distracted from other important areas of the squad.
The hope is that once a deal has been confirmed and completed, that the Reds’ sporting director will be able to dedicate more of his time to signing a midfielder, a centre-back and a right back.
Talks are also ongoing with PSG for the transfer of Ibrahim Mbaye, but sources report that this will not be a complicated transfer to complete and my sense is that this will be done in tandem with the Barcola deal.
