Liverpool reportedly still have no agreement over the transfer of Bradley Barcola, with Arsenal considering going back in for the Paris Saint-Germain winger.
Despite some reports today that Liverpool have struck an agreement to sign Barcola from PSG, reliable Sky journalist Sacha Tavolieri has posted that there is nothing in place yet, but with more information to come soon.
Interestingly, this comes as the Independent report that Arsenal are looking for alternatives to Vinicius Junior and could be tempted by Barcola again, though not for his £130m asking price.
See below for Tavolieri’s post on X about the Barcola saga, which perhaps hints that something surprising could be just around the corner…
“No agreement in principle between Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain for Bradley Barcola. Discussions continue. More info soon,” Tavolieri said.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal really need new signings in attack this summer, and Barcola now looks like one of the few realistic options out there on the market.
PSG have so many options in that area of their squad, that Barcola might struggle for playing time next season, so he could do well to leave to further his career.
The 23-year-old is too good to be sitting on the bench most weeks, but it’s also hard to see him getting a lot of minutes due to the presence of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue, while there’s also new signing Maghnes Akliouche to think about.
Could Arsenal hijack Liverpool’s move for Bradley Barcola?
It’s early days yet, but if you connect the pieces together, it seems like it’ll be worth keeping an eye on Arsenal’s links with Barcola.
As per Miguel Delaney’s piece in the Independent, “Bradley Barcola is another attractive option (for Arsenal), with Liverpool also keen on the Paris Saint-Germain winger.
“Arsenal are playing catch-up to some extent though, with Liverpool thought to be further down the line in terms of negotiations over personal terms.
“PSG’s valuation could also prove a stumbling block, with the France international priced by his club at £130m, a figure above the Gunners’ own valuation.”

It was also previously reported by talkSPORT that Arsenal could go back in for Barcola if they miss out on Vinicius.

That’s also similar to what BBC Sport said earlier in the summer, when AFC looked at Barcola as a possible alternative to Morgan Rogers.
For a long time, it looked like Arsenal were leading the race for Rogers, when suddenly Chelsea hijacked the deal out of the blue. Could we about to see something similar with Barcola, with Arsenal this time leapfrogging Liverpool in the race for his signature?
