Madison Beer‘s relationship with Los Angeles Chargers star Justin Herbert creates the latest celebrity couple to gain massive exposure in the NFL world.
However, sports media personality Chris Broussard isn’t a fan of their budding romance after going on a tirade this week during his Fox Sports 1 program.
Beer and Herbert recently announced their engagement after going public in October 2025. In fact, Beer is showing off her $1 million ring to the public after appearing on the red carpet this week.
Many people are fans of love and all that it entails. However, Broussard’s sentiment isn’t exactly the same after seeing Herbert cozied up with his fiancée after Chargers practice.
“This could have led the show,” Broussard said on “First Things First.” “This has to be a joke. Like, I mean, were they just doing that? Like, having fun? You can’t let that happen. I’m sorry. I get it. You’re in love and all that, but come on!”

The summer wedding between pop sensation Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce hasn’t done Herbert any favors in terms of drawing further attention to celebrity couples.
However, the bigger issue that looms for the Chargers star quarterback has nothing to do with his relationship. Herbert is still looking for his first playoff win since being drafted by Los Angeles back in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Last postseason ended abruptly for Herbert and Co. after they suffered a 16-3 beatdown at the hands of the eventual AFC champion New England Patriots.

The Chargers have invested heavily in Herbert though with new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. Meanwhile, head coach Jim Harbaugh’s team has plenty of weapons, including Omarion Hampton, Ladd McConkey and Quinten Johnston.
