Liverpool have been as busy with contract situations as incoming transfers.
Dominik Szoboszlai recently put pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at Liverpool until 2031, giving the club a long-term commitment from one of its key midfielders.

The Reds have also been working on fresh terms elsewhere in the squad. Goalkeeper Harvey Davies is expected to agree a contract extension at Anfield as his immediate future becomes clearer.
That focus on securing the club’s future extends beyond the men’s first team. Liverpool have now confirmed a new deal on the women’s side, with the club’s academy producing another graduate ready to sign her first professional terms.
Neve McDonald has signed her first professional contract at Liverpool FC Women, the club has announced. The 18-year-old put pen to paper on the deal at the AXA Melwood Training Centre.
“It’s a very proud moment for me and my family,” McDonald told Liverpoolfc.com. “I’m really grateful to be in this position and I can’t wait to get going and get started.”
She thanked her family for their support, singling out her brother.
“It’s a big thank you to them and my brother, because if it wasn’t for him I probably wouldn’t be playing,” she said.
“It means everything to pull on the Liverpool shirt every day. Growing up, everyone wants to play football professionally and live out their dream. Now I am so it’s a really happy moment for me.”
Neve McDonald has made one senior appearance for the Reds, coming on as a substitute in a Women’s League Cup match against Everton in December 2024. She was named in Gareth Taylor’s matchday squad on five occasions last season.
“I just want to learn and improve every day, taking it all in my stride,” she said. “First and foremost, I’m currently on a rehab plan so hopefully I can get out on the pitch and be back in training and out on the pitch.”
She also praised the impact of head coach Gareth Taylor:
“Gareth has really helped me push myself and I’ve already learned a lot from him and his staff. Everyone knows his experience and how much he supports young players.”
The Scotland Under-19 international is currently working through a rehabilitation plan.
