Liverpool’s opening Barcola offer revealed

**Liverpool are set to table their opening bid to sign Bradley Barcola.**

Barcola remains the Anfield club’s top target in their efforts to replace Mohamed Salah in the front line ahead of the new Premier League season.

The France international is understood to favour a move to the Reds with his future at the reigning European champions appearing increasingly uncertain.

He has already rejected successive attempts to renew his contract at the Parc des Princes with just under two years remaining on an existing deal.

Andoni Iraola’s side are now hoping to offer Barcola an escape from his limbo period with reports in France indicating the details of their first offer to PSG.

According to L’Equipe, a figure in the region of £98 million will be submitted despite it falling short of Les Parisiens’ valuation which is closer to £130M.

However Liverpool targeting the 23-year-old as their marquee attacking signing is seen as encouraging for talks with their Ligue 1 counterparts.

Alongside Barcola, the club is hoping to pursue a deal for his PSG teammate Ibrahim Mbaye, who has attracted interest from several Bundesliga teams.
